Solar Auto Drive Car

The world today is designing solutions for sustainable energy and increasing number of accidents on the roads. Our project "Solar Auto-Drive Car" is a step towards this solution. This dissertation details the energy provision to the electric car via solar panel and charge controller as it deals with buck boosting and stopping the overcharging of the power supplied to the battery. Autonomous driving is the solution for decreasing or eliminating the road accidents. In this approach, we will concentrate on the obstacle detection by sensors for the movement of car on the road by comparing the distances from objects with the set thresholds. Moreover, image processing TSDR technique will be used for detecting the road signs. All of this will be achieved by programming myRIO through LabVIEW software.
